Two day student orientation Program
Aims on educating and introducing the science of ART to students interested in pursuing embryology.

Rationale behind this course:
The dearth of embryologists and the growing interest of young student scientists in the field of human embryology and its applications in Assisted Reproductive Techniques have necessitated the inclusion of this course. This course will incorporate lecture series, video presentations and demonstration of various techniques. Hands on training will be restricted in the initial phase, but subsequently those who are interested in deeply pursuing this course could be given the options of advanced hands on training.

The course contents are formulated as per the guidelines framed by Indian Council of Medical Research, so as to introduce the various norms and methodologies in a well phased manner.

Course contents:
Reproductive physiology of humans (male and female).
Human Gametogenesis.
Brief overview of male and female infertility.
Introduction to Assisted Reproductive Techniques.
Introduction to Embryo Culture Laboratory and equipments.
Disposables and culture media handling.
Standard Operating Procedures for gamete handling and culturing.
Laboratory sterility and hygiene.
Application support.
Record keeping.

Evaluation of students:
Candidates who complete the course will be evaluated through MCQs and an interactive session.

Trainees will get:
Course manual and a certificate of training.
